Posted hours say they open at 10 AM on Saturday mornings. It is now 11:15 AM and the lights are still off and no one is in the store. Doors locked!
I called the store to see if a particular shoe was in stock in my size..."yes..both 11 and 11.5". Drove 30 minutes to the store..first clerk goes back and comes out....'no we don't have any of that style in 11 or 11.5" Who did I talk to then? Another clerk comes up..recalls the conversation and goes in the back returning with two boxes...sets the boxes down in front of me and walks away... I opened the boxes...wrong shoes...completely different model. "Oh sorry...we can't tell what's in the box" Zero interest in selling, no idea about the product, and not even a remote attempt at customer service... ..out of the four sales people in the store not one of them even bothered... lovely way to run a retail operation. Then ... for the topper... called their 800# to complain... first call disconnected after 20 minutes on hold... finally got through on the second call after another 10 minutes on hold... So..clearly 'customer service' is a economic decision in cost avoidance. The agent I spoke could confirm product was in stock and claimed have taken down my information and passed along to the managers who keep track of store operations... we'll see
The woman who answered my phone is very rude. I asked about my order and she hanged up the call when I tried to say "Thank you".
A sales rep asked if she could help me. I showed her the shoe I was interested in and asked her to check for my size. She went to the back and was gone a really long time. When she re-appeared, she did not tell me she did not have the shoe in the size I requested, but instead immediately began assisting another customer. I asked her what she found and she very rudely informed me she was assisting someone else and would be with me in a minute. About 10 minutes later she finished with that customer then asked me what shoe I was interested in. I reminded her she had gone to the back to check on (and showed her the shoe again.) She told me at that point "We don't have the size you asked for." Should she not have followed up with me before assisting someone else? Should she not have been courteous in her responses to me? I finally walked away from her to look at another shoe and when she followed me and asked if I wanted "that shoe" I told her I had not decided yet. She then realized she had disappointed a customer and asked if I wanted someone else to assist me. I said if I made a decision, I would indeed look for to another employee for help.
I thought each person there was knowledgeable and very friendly. the store was busy and the salespeople multitasked very well without ever appearing flustered or short tempered. I purchased 3 pair of shoes that day and love them all.
