Dr. Shah has been amazing. He is extremely thorough and accommodating. He has taken his time to provide insight and comfort at a time when we desperately needed it.

Rude office staff and very unprofessional. Hope you have a better experience than we had. Won't be going back.

Very thorough eval done pre appointment. The software he used was very long but asked questions about all of her struggles as if they knew her and were already familiar with what her symptoms were. Mentally physically and emotionally. First visit was good. Very direct person. My daughter did get upset but it was a serious convo to get her more help. He was able to line out a plan for wellness and now she is coping much better with anxieties, depressive feelings and emotionally stronger. Her grades are up! Her confidence and attendance is up! She is getting her glow back. Finally someone who understands the issues kids face these days.

Highly recommend this office. Dr Shah and his staff are friendly and caring. He listened to our concerns and explained treatment options. Even though they do not accept insurance anymore, we will continue care with Dr. Shah.

There are not a lot of psychiatrist that take health insurance, and then finding an adolescent psychiatrist is even more difficult. It took me 3 days to find Dr. Shah for my 14 year old who has Major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Self Harm and Bulimia. The visit was going well, until he told my daughter with an eating disorder and all these other issues. That she was borderline obese. From a clinical stand-point, I suppose he might be right if he went over her height and weight chart. However, she is also a competitive softball player with a high muscle mass. Also, she has finally just stabilized, from cutting herself, and purging to not doing so for a month! Why would he feel the need to point this out? Yes, he is a physician. But he isn't her medical doctor, and he only met with us for half an hour. We talked about her background, I completed a very large questionnaire about her background. To me, we were to address her mental health, her MENTAL health is what has had us in and out of hospitals for the past 8 months. Her physical health we can address later. Her physical health is a work in progress. She was in tears when we left. Needless to say, and I feel like this should be common knowledge: Don't tell the 14 year old girl, who struggles with bulimia she is close to being obese. She knows that, I know that. That wasn't why we came to see you Dr. Shah. You kicked her while she was already struggling to get back up. We won't be back. Now its back to another 3 days of phone calls to find another doctor. I would much rather her be a little overweight, then sliced up or dead.
