I've been to many Buca locations (MN, TX, AZ, etc.) and had great experiences, but this was, by far, the worst experience!
They sent out the wrong beverage order. Twice :-(
I hope that something is done about this to correct this kind of treatment of customers.
On a slightly concerning note: the 4 and 5 star ratings seemed to be demographically biased. Wonder if that points to a deeper problem at this location.
This location is run by a bunch of kids that have no idea what they are doing. The food is good but the service is downright awful. Management has no control over this place. And to top it all off they had porn queued up on the tv in the bar. Tried to call in to give them some advice and no one ever returned my call. Go for the food but don't expect your customer experience to be great.
My favorite italian restaurant. Would have have them a five but service was not attentive and there was not many people there do they couldn't claim it was because they were busy. I'll try again because I love their good. If service is not improved it will be my last try.
We had a reservation for 8 people. They tried to sit us at a table for 6, no way for 8 to sit there. She found us another table and threw the menus down. We ordered then waited and waited... Never received the salad we ordered. The food came out 50 min later. The green beans were missing. They said they'd bring out them out. Once we were done eating, the green beans arrived. The manager was the one to bring them out. When we said we no longer wanted them (since we were done eating), he turned around and walked away without saying anything. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because the waitress came out and apologized and gave us a comped desert. The desert didn't make up for not getting the salad and green beans. Very disappointed. This place has gone way downhill. Used to be one of our favorite places, but we won't be returning.
One evening our families decided to meet here to have a family dinner to get everyone together. When we got there the restaurant looks very nice. I was surprised that we can actually walk through the kitchen area to be seated. They even have a special table area in the kitchen for customers to be seated. I wouldn't want those tables because it can get pretty loud with all the pots, pans and dishes. I also would be afraid of something hot spilling or just something random but that's just me. Anyway.... I give one star because the food was horrible. Everyone at our table was disappointed with the taste and quality of the food. There was very little flavor. It was so bland. The food tasted like it was made with cheap ingredients. We told the manager about the food and she said it was because the had just hired a young chef. That wasn't a good excuse; so they should train them better or something. I will say that they have large meals that can feed a family and that's good. I feel like the prices should be lower because the food just isn't that great at this location. I have a family member who loves the food at the Frisco location.
This is probably the last time I'm going to the Southlake Buca which had sub-par service despite its ZIP code.
The food came out about an hour or so after the order was placed (turns out our order wasn't even placed the first time) and part of my group ended up missing an appointment because of the delay. There were 4 children in the group who got full from eating the bread on the table, and consequently did not even make it through half of their actual meal. The floor manager did not do anything to make up for this (for example, comping one or more entrees, etc.)
